Travel Telemetry Technician


We're looking for Telemetry Technicians for an immediate travel opening in Davenport, IA.

As a Telemetry Technician, you will be responsible for continuously monitoring patients' cardiac rhythms using specialized equipment and promptly alerting healthcare staff to any abnormalities. Your attention to detail plays a critical role in ensuring patient safety in acute and critical care settings.

As a Telemetry Technician, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

  • Monitor multiple cardiac telemetry screens for changes in heart rhythm
  • Recognize and report arrhythmias and significant EKG changes to the appropriate clinical team
  • Accurately document patient rhythm strips and telemetry events per hospital protocol
  • Apply and troubleshoot telemetry monitoring equipment as needed
  • Maintain clear communication with nurses and physicians regarding patient status
  • Ensure accurate patient identification and lead placement information
  • Assist in setup and disconnection of telemetry monitoring
  • Maintain logs, reports, and equipment maintenance records
  • Follow HIPAA, patient privacy, and hospital safety guidelines
  • Support a clean and organized monitoring environment

The ideal candidate must have at least one year of experience as a Telemetry Technician. Additionally, they should possess a current BLS certification and hold the CCT National Certification.

Telemetry Technicians should be able to sit and focus for extended periods, respond quickly in high-stakes situations, and demonstrate strong technical and communication skills.
