Facility Architect Assessor (ACP Sponsor Engagement)

Hours: Full-Time 35 Hours Work Location: 30-30 Thomson Avenue, LIC, NY 11101Only candidates who are permanent in the Architect title, reachable on the Open-Competitive List (Exam #3040), or the Open-Competitive Exam #5009 in August 2024 may apply. If you do not meet the previously mentioned civil service criteria, you will not be considered for an interview.The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Division of Public Buildings, seeks a Facility Architectural Assessor. The candidate will be responsible for conducting condition assessments in City-owned buildings. The selected candidate will assess the physical condition of the exterior and interior building components and the buildings overall code compliance, sustainability and resiliency and outline immediate and potential problem areas so that informed decisions can be made, and priorities can be set. Coordinate and advise on the ADA surveys being performed simultaneously to synthesize findings. Candidate will record existing conditions; provide code and local laws analysis and prepare facility assessment reports suitable for sponsor agency budget planning purposes.Authorization to work in the United States is required for this position.
